Driving Licences
It is a requirement that your Driving Licence is checked using the DVSA information service. Trainees will be required to apply for a check code using the link above and to send the check code together with their driving licence number to the instructor at least 24 hours before the first lesson is scheduled to take place. This should be emailed to enquiries@bepreparedrivingschool.co.uk
Insurance
Driving tuition fees include the trainees cover for insurance liability claims whilst driving the Be Prepared Driving School’s vehicles, providing the trainee is fully licensed to drive and is accompanied on test by a DVSA examiner or under the direction of the instructor.
Payments
Payment for lessons can be made in cash or by BACS to 090128 92493596. BACS payments should be made no later than 6 pm on the day prior to the booked lesson. Be Prepared Driving School reserves the right to charge for any lessons that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Refunds for training is at the discretion of the instructor.
Cancellation of booked lessons
At least 24 hours notice must be given by you or by the instructor if there is a need to cancel or rearrange a lesson booking. Failure to give this notice will result in a valid claim for an equivalent value in compensation.
Official Driving Tests
Be Prepared Driving School reserves the right to withhold the training vehicle for the driving test if, in the instructor’s opinion, the trainee does not reach the required standard. The test fee will be forfeited if seven clear days notice is not given. This does not include Sundays, Bank Holidays or the day of cancellation of the test. Trainees MUST check with their instructor before booking and committing to a test date and time if using the instructor’s vehicle for their test.
Appointments
Whilst every care will be taken to ensure that clients receive the training at the requested time and with the instructor as booked, all bookings are made on the undertaking that Be Prepared Driving School is not responsible for the postponement of training due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment, absence of staff, or any other cause. Neither can the school be held responsible for driving test appointments postponed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
Personal Property
Every endeavour is made to safeguard the personal property of any trainee but we point out that Be Prepared Driving School accepts no liability whatsoever for jewellery, cash, clothing, mobile phones or other property that may be left in the training vehicle.
