MOTORWAY DRIVING LESSONS

Under current UK laws provisional driving licence holders are prohibited from driving on a motorway.  (The law is scheduled to change from 4^th June 2018).

It is important that drivers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to drive safely on the motorways which is a different environment from the roads on which pupils learn to drive.

Motorway driving lessons are an integral part of the Pass Plus Scheme, however we are able to offer bespoke motorway driving lessons to those that want to cover motorway driving only, either as a newly qualified driver, or someone who has been driving for some time but who may not have experienced motorway driving or who is seeking a refresher to increase their confidence. 

A motorway driving lesson normally takes 3 hours and will cover:

• Joining and leaving the motorway safely
• Lane discipline
• Safe following distance
• Safely managing speed
• Overtaking safely
• Rules and motorway signals
• Anticipating the actions and intentions of other motorway users
• What to do in the event of a breakdown on a motorway
